It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowlers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

In the end, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her newest gem.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in training, it has been a challenging time because it seemed my form was missing whatsoever," commented Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your fighting spirit take over and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

A single came off the opening delivery and after that Healy was on her way.

"A chance to play and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was out the team required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the belief to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this tournament want to hear.

During the last week a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she later said she wanted to have participated through the pain.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is anticipated as her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as leader.
